When a chocolate making school has been awarded recognition such as the Fine Chocolate Industry Association for their “Outstanding Service to the Industry” then you know you’re on to a winner. And that’s very surprising given that the courses are delivered 100% online.
When you’re recognised as being the best in your field then you’re able to charge a fair amount. For the Professional Chocolatier Programme which is an intensive, part time course held over a three month period then you can expect to pay about $685 US for the priviledge – and that’s including the cost of ingredients or equipment which could add another $200 your tally.
They also offer a Chocolate Making from the Bean Program which costs about $455 and involves an hour long bean and also requires about $200 of ingredients and equipment.
You can probably appreciate that these courses aren’t for children or hen parties, they’re for serious people looking to make serious chocolate.
Ecole Chocolat also offer their graduates hands-on courses held around the world, including Switzerland, Vancouver, Costa Rica, Belgium, France and Italy where you are taught by some of the world’s best chocolatiers and chocolate makers about producing fine bars and bon bons, as well as being able to source fine cocoa.
