It’s always good to see an event booked up so when looking at the chocolate related courses on the website of the Edinburgh School of Food & Wine I was surprised to see the Chocolate Masterclass all booked up for 5th November. The only downside is that they don’t have any more listed for the next nine months or so.
If they did add more dates in future then they may well be worth considering if you’d prefer a more professional chocolate making course. The thing is, that as a “School of Food of Wine” they’ll be more focused on the factual and practical side of chocolate making than the overt-fun side which you could expect with a hen party or kids birthday party.
The course costs £120 but there is a lack of information about what you can expect. They do say that you’ll be on your feet all day so wear comfortable shoes as well as ‘have a good breakfast’ – which possibly means that you won’t get any lunch? At least you could eat the chocolate.
A positive is that courses are held on Saturdays which should be a good thing for people who work or look after children during the week.
Apparently the No. 38 bus runs every half an hour from the centre of Edinburgh during the week and on Saturdays and it stops very close to the school.
